Robotech is an animated sci-fi series adapted for American television in 1985 portraying interconnected stories of love amid war. Miriya Sterling was the Zentraedi's fiercest warrior who led several missions against human forces until taking on human form so that she could infiltrate the SDF-1. After several confrontations with Max Sterling, Miriya sought revenge against the ace pilot only to fall in love with him instead. As ace pilot in the red VF-1J Veritech, Miriya sticks by Max's side through the war and helps rebuild Earth from the ashes left by Dolza's fleet.
