The Volkswagen Transporter T3 was first introduced in 1979 and quickly became It became a legend in the automotive industry. Produced from May of that same year, it bore the factory designation T3 and continued the classic rear-engined layout. In 1985, the Multivan version debuted, and a Syncro-powered variant was introduced in parallel, produced until 1992. Simplicity, reliability, and low operating costs made the T3 one of the most frequently used vehicles in the red colors of the German fire department.
